DIRECTIONS

From AUSTIN:

Take HWY 71 EAST for approx. 50 miles.

Before the Colorado River, turn right and go under the Colorado River bridge, making a U-turn to the left.

Vernon Richards Riverbend Park is on the right.

From HOUSTON:

Take Interstate 10 West to Columbus.

At Columbus, veer right onto HWY 71 WEST.

Go approx.  35 miles and go over the Colorado River bridge.

Take an immediate right into the Vernon Richards Riverbend Park.

FEATURES OF PARK

Acres of large old live oak trees highlight the grounds.

19 RV hookups, BBQ pits, lighted softball field, sand volleyball pits, playground equipment, lighted fishing pier and boat launch on Colorado River, covered pavilion, bathrooms, and picnic areas available.  All of this is outside of the rally fence.

Chuckwagon Square is a fenced area where the centralized portion of the rally will be held.  It has a permanent band stand and booths and a cement dance floor.  It’s a great location for family reunions.  The park is available to individuals or groups who wish to hold their picnics or parties there.  Non-profit groups wishing to hold fund-raising events at the park are also welcomed. For the rally, the Swap meet will be inside the fenced portion of the rally.  There will also be portapotties.
